The Story Behind Faithful Apparel

Being a Christian has never been easy, and maintaining unwavering faith has been even harder. In this day and age of instant gratification and social media, it is even harder to believe in something we can’t see.
I was hopelessly entangled by doubts about the Christian faith because of hypocrisy in the church, doubts about if Jesus was really God, doubts about all those “errors” and doubts about the reality of heaven and hell. Ultimately, I doubted God’s existence. During that period, my life was riddled with questions that I couldn’t answer:
  • Why did God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden in the first place?
  • Why does God allow suffering?
  • Where did evil come from?
  • Is Jesus Christ really who He claims to be—God?
  • What is the purpose of life if Christianity is a hoax?

I spent a long time trying to come to terms with my doubts, and as a result, ended up distancing myself from the church. I could not stand someone coming up to me telling me God loves me. It was as though I were saying, “Don’t bother me with the truth. I’m having far too much fun being critical and grappling over issues that have confounded the philosophers for centuries.”

In my slippery spiritual descent, God wanted to remind me how powerful he is. July 1, 2018, my friends and I went downtown to celebrate Canada's Independence Day. Downtown was packed with people from all over walking around, taking pictures, singing and dancing. We were having a good time when suddenly this young man approached us with a bible in his hand. He said to us "Hi my name is John and I'm here to let you know Jesus loves you and  Jesus wants you to know hope is never found in doubt." I decided to listen to what he had to say and we talked about God, the world, the future, his struggles with faith and my struggles with faith. During the conversation I asked myself: out of the thousands of people on the street, especially on a busy day like Canada Day, why did this guy feel the need to approach us? Then It began to dawn on me that this conversation isn't random. It was God's way of using him to remind me that I'm not alone in my struggles.

So I started to reflect and I asked myself this: How do I remind people like myself that faith is the essence of life and that there are so many obvious truths in the Christian faith that can’t be ignored?

Faithful Apparel is more than a brand. It’s a reminder that while life can be hard at times, faith is knowing that through God things will get better. It’s taking the next step even when you can’t see the entire staircase. Simply put, life would fail to have reason if we didn’t have faith.

Here you will find on trend and fashionable apparel designed to remind you to maintain faith at all stages of your life. I pray that this apparel will help you to shine a light in this dark world and create opportunities to inspire and share Christ with others.

My hope is to remind and inspire others to have hope and keep their faith.
